Recently, our company's EP1600 resonance free vibration hammer has successfully started construction in the Xuwen offshore wind power project in Zhanjiang. We have successfully drilled inclined piles for the foundation project of the offshore wind power booster station platform with a slope of 8 degrees, including a pile diameter of 1800mm, a weight of 145t, and a pile length of 86m.
The State Power Investment Corporation's Zhanjiang Xuwen offshore wind power construction project officially started construction in early 2021. The project is located in the sea area east of Jinhe Town, Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. The nearest point of the site is 20 kilometers from the shore of Jinhe Town, and the farthest point is 35 kilometers from the shore.
Although the project was successfully completed, many problems were encountered during the early stage of pile driving. Firstly, time is tight and tasks are heavy; In order to save construction time and strive for a one-time completion within the window period, the construction party initially envisioned using an impact hammer to directly sink the piles. However, due to the large slope, long length, and thin wall thickness of steel pipe piles, if an impact hammer is used, it is necessary to decouple and sink the piles, which will greatly reduce the safety factor. In addition, the impact hammer itself is relatively heavy, and forcibly sinking the piles will make the steel pipe piles easily deformed and bent, which cannot meet the construction requirements and will cause certain losses. So after seeking help from various sources in society, the project department found our company. After multiple technical discussions, both parties finally decided to use the EP1600 resonance free vibration hammer lifting method to directly sink the pile to complete this arduous task.
After the final plan was finalized, the intense preparation work began: meetings, coordination, shipping, on-site assembly and debugging, etc. With the joint efforts of everyone on site, we successfully sank the four inclined piles into the sea according to the pre prepared plan, completing the task. Our company has also received recognition and praise from the project department and other leaders.
Now let's understand why using the EP1600 resonance free vibration hammer lifting method can drive the pile so quickly and smoothly?
1. Highlights of large resonance free vibration hammers:
Reduce starting energy consumption | Zero start, zero stop |
Stepless adjustment of eccentric torque | Low center of gravity and good stability |
Verticality controllable and correctable | Efficient, environmentally friendly, and low noise |
Equipped with a forced lubrication oil pump system | Original imported bearings from abroad |
Maximum 14 degree inclined pile construction | Container type integrated electro-hydraulic system |
Compared to other ordinary vibration hammers, large resonance free vibration hammers have the following advantages:
Energy saving, safety, and environmental protection. At present, the mainstream vibration hammers in the market are electrically driven, often using industrial electricity or generator sets as power sources. The use of ordinary vibrating hammers is limited and reduced due to the occurrence of resonance hazards during start-up and shutdown, as well as factors such as high vibration noise. The eccentric torque of the EP hammer is infinitely adjustable, and the eccentric torque can be adjusted to "zero" before starting and stopping, achieving the vibration hammer to start and stop under "zero" excitation force. Therefore, only a smaller power supply is required, which reduces the investment in supporting equipment and energy consumption, truly achieving "power saving and cost saving".
